  • It always amazes me to read these high miles. I remember my dad would trade his in before 100,000 miles as he felt they were not reliable. Maybe they weren't.
  • I had a 1996 Avalon with nearly 400,000 miles, and I always said I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive coast-to-coast. I gave it to my brother because I wanted (not needed)something new.
  • I've only put 282,000 miles on my 93 Toyota pickup so far. Think I'll go for a drive, a long drive.

    I didn't post as a "big deal" - we have put around 2.2 million km on 4 Toyota vehicles (Land Cruisers, vans, and cars) ourselves over the years.

    I found it interesting what Toyota is going to do with the vehicle.
  • Too bad the plant is partly shutdown for repairs from the recent rain storms we had. Parts of the plant have no power and there is a hole in the roof.
