Iirc, my 292 redline was about 4000 rpm at best. Best RA for the 4sp manual was 3.42 gears. Decent low end, 2000 or so rpm at 60 mph...
My IHC has a top speed of 72 mph, at 3000 rpm in direct with 4.33 gears, 31.5" tires, it could use an OD when empty.
