My Outback has an electronic awning. I've always had manual. There's advantages to both. The biggest advantage to the manual was the ability to drop the arms completely down and actually slide them under the trailer which make the awning hang down along the side of the camper. Very easy to clean! Also, to clean under, could drop down the front of the awning. With the electric, it's pretty much fixed in place. So will have to figure out a new way to wash it down. BUT the ease of extract and retract are wonderful! Especially at NIGHT when the wind pick-up and your butt naked and don't want to go outside to roll up the awning. Just push the button and go back to bed! That's WONDERFUL!
Congrats on your new camper! Tongue jack is an easy swap out. Keep the battery until it dies! Then switch! Save some money!
