2006 Ford Explorer coolant T fitting

Has anyone ever replaced or installed this tee for the coolant? I can not find a part number, does it come with the hoses attached? or just the tee? Mines spring a leak at the fitting and I can't tell if the hoses pull off or are they welded and have to be cut off. I haven't been able to find the part# on Ford or parts counter websites so don't know if I can replace it as a whole assembly (preferred) or just replace the T fitting.

  • Hi rowekmr,

I have an 06' Explorer w/4.0 that I can look at this weekend and try to help but I cannot sort out where this line is from the drawing. Can you please give us a little more info.

It may be a molded assembly and only replaced as a unit but that is just a guess right now. Tell me more about it and I will see what I can do to help you out.

  • This assembly is on the passenger side of the engine towards the rear. The hoses lead to the front and rear heater cores (I think) and the third hies goes to the bypass or cut off valve. On mines it's kinda buried I buried under the throttle body intake hose.
