Go to a 3500 SRW for 500 more lbs of payload? my opinion plus or minus 500 lbs isn't going to matter. Your talking the weight of 2 grown male adults 500 lbs either way doesn't matter to me.
Yeah, unless you're talking about the different options w the new Rams, a 3500 has always been the same truck as a 2500 plus a couple leafs in the rear and different badges.
If going used, get whatever is the best condition/deal and figure on adding a couple leafs or bags, timbrens etc if your hauling a real load.
