Get him to send you a picture. Then there is no chance of misunderstanding.

A good fried of mine has a 2014 2500HD Duramax. It is a LTZ Crew Cab 4X4 6'6" bed. The sticker on the door is less than 2300 lbs.

Mine is a 2012 2500HD 6.0 LT Crew Cab 4X4 with a 6'6" bed. The sticker on the door is 2822 lbs.
