I have a '06 1181 bought new and it came with a power transfer installed under the step up into the cabover. It auto switches from shore to generator AC to DC depending on source. Did someone modify or change out the OEM? Was the generator added as a aftermarket installation? If so, that would explain why you don't have one properly installed. You might want to check with Lance directly for suggestions and a remedy. Let us know what you come up with and good luck.
