2011 Ram 3500 DRW Fuel Mileage When not Towing

Not necessarily. Mostly it takes better technology.
HP and torque doubled over the years for Ram/Cummins trucks and fuel efficiency din't change much until the latest emissions.
My own truck has twice the stock HP of my previous Cummins but gets the same mileage.
