2013 megacab increased payload

For 2013, if you get the new 3500 with the 385 hp/ 850 torque engine you get a new frame, larger front/rear axles, 3 link front end, and different rear leaf springs. It also comes with more payload capacity.

I think its both. A couple of months ago I saw a new dodge CTD 3500 SRW with a new lance 850 on it and looked at the spring setup and truck did not come with the top overload springs and perches. Looked like my 2006 2500 setup. Maybe be thicker and a little wider leaf springs?

Curiously dodge towing and payload guide is showing 4700lbs now available in the megacab. This opens up a lot of shortbed camper options for those that need the room.

I noticed the same thing. Been looking at one. I wonder if any suspension stuff is different or if Dodge just raised the payload and GVWR.
