A 3/4 ton does not always tow better, especially in the hills where horsepower counts.
3/4 ton does tow better. It just may not accelerate as quickly.

I see a new truck thread soon! 8500 pounds loaded with 1000-1100 pounds of TW is too much for every 2009+ Ram quad cab/crew cab pickup I have seen. Lots of power, the lowest payload in the class.
