Don't forget the 6.4 Hemi has been detuned to 367 hp but still 430 torque for 4500/5500 HD operations.
Same with the Cummins which was detuned to 325/750 even with the Aisin. - carringbExplorerI like the Aisin 6-speed in my '08 4500. It had the 6.7L, but I though the Aisin did great delivering power. I liked in much more than the Allison 1000 in our GMs.
The main thing I did not like was there was no way to lockout 1st gear. It was almost too low for solo driving, since we had 4.88 gears in the trucks. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I agree FLT is not very critical of specifications and their tests are less than desirable, but there was a Chrysler employee in the truck and he should have known all the specifications on that truck right down to the tranny gear ratio's.- BedlamModeratorToo bad FLT is more about entertainment than content.
