These newer engines are impressive. I remember my 2001 Ram with a 318 in it, I believe it was 230 hp with 300 ftlbs of twist. Anyway, unless your intent is to keep the truck long term, I would have to agree with a previous response by a member in reference to resale. I would step up to the 5.3 for that reason alone.
