2017 F450 with Fifth Wheel

I'm NOT buying anything, I promise. The 2015 is doing just fine. But I wouldn't be surprised if I don't make the leap in a year or two on a 2018 or so.

But does anyone have a picture of a new F350 or F450 hooked up to a fifth wheel camper? All the pics I can find are hooked up to a gooseneck.

I just want to see how well a fiver sits in the back. Not sure but the new Super Duty beds look awful deep. My 43' long Vengeance still sits just slightly higher on the nose with my 2015 and I have the hitch as low as I can without getting too close to the truck. If I were to get a new Ford and its even higher in the back or I have to raise the hitch, that would look silly.

First sunny day here in NC since I bought the truck. At least enough time to hook up the camper and bring it out.

I guessed on the hitch. Moved it up to the highest setting to clear the bed rails since they are taller on the 17s. I was worried it would be too hose high. But from what I can tell, its good enough for me.
Very nice looking set-up. I sure like how the 17 models look more solid looking, and the way they set up. The previous year models were to squatty looking.

That's a beautiful looking set up. Wow, that trailer is long! There is no way I could get that in my back yard. Maybe that's a good excuse to look for an acreage!:B

Nice but I always think "wow" that makes the truck look small. Going though our city and seeing us in the windows along the street I wondered what non rv'rs think seeing us. Have a safe first tow.

Very impressive rig!

My parents are camping at a near by state park and I stopped by yesterday to visit while coming home from the deer camp and right across from them was a brand new F450 King Ranch pulling a 40 plus ft. Jayco Seismic.

Congrats, that's a beautiful truck. I went looking at the 2017 Super Duties a while ago and almost swallowed my tongue when I looked at the sticker price on them so that was enough to cure the itch for me! :B

I don't have a pic, but several on the FTE have them. One thing we've realized is that the floor of the trucks are the same height as the previous year models, but the bed sides are 2" higher. So the trailers are not sitting higher in the nose per say, the rigs are just losing 2" of bedrail clearance.

I really don't understand why Ford does not off a special bed with lower sides for 5th wheels. It sure seems to me that it would be nice to be able to lower the floor of the front bedroom several inches.

All about the MONEY......(Ford,G.M.,Dodge )....... sell MILLIONS of trucks.:W

To make a "Special bed".....that is low production ( how many actually have a 5th wheel),
And to make it LOOK RIGHT ..................:E

Thats where AFTER-MARKET outfitters come into play.....I know off hand of a company in ELKHART alone (many others also).....that make CUSTOM BEDS.

Looks fantastic!!! Congrats bud... Hey, when you get on the wet bolts, be sure to look over your Equaflex thoroughly. While doing spring greasing I found one of mine about to fail me. It could have went really wrong on my next trip... I have a new unit on now but am making the trip to IN this summer to have a full IS and disc conversion done at MorRyde.

You will love it--- I have indepent suspension and disc brakes on my fifth wheel and it is fantastic !!!!!
Mor ryde has a great setup out there, you can arrive like early and hook your rig up they've got electricity hookups right there at the factory--- and yeah they'll get you all set ---you're going to love it...!!!!!
