2019 Duramax service exhaust soon
Have a 2019 Duramax , have a service exhaust soon message check manual. The manual says contact dealer. Anyone have any ideas. Don’t seem to have any power.

- You need a scanner to tell what the problem is. Sounds like you went into limp mode, to keep from blowing something up.
- U might try googling “ Duramax Forums “……
- If I had a truck with Tier IV emissions, I would not leave home without a good code reader. Something like AlfaOBD or similar.
- Many Auto Parts Stores can read the code and give suggestions. Might be something simple or major, but the code will help.
- It should have at least basic Onstar. It will tell you what the code is.
- Based on OP's post, I'd place $$ that the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is plugged up
- Auto Parts can look at your codes.

There is also 2 oxygen sensors , one on each side of the DPF filter if like my 2012.- This is one of those "makes ya wonder" threads. OP posts a rather basic/cryptic post asking for help/suggestions, then doesn't return, even though it appears to be an immediate type of issue.
Could be....
DEF injector
DEF pump
DPF or SCR plugged
Malfunctioning sensor on exhaust, EGTs or O2s
Bad DEF sensor or bad DEF
Drives like an old man and plugged 'er up and hasn't spent any time completing a regen.
Physical issue with DFP or SCR
These off the top of my head. Bout as good as suggestions as can be given with literally no additional info provided by the guy with the constipated exhaust! Grit dog wrote:

He probably traded it in for a truck with a gas engine.
