I pulled a 20K gooseneck trailer today, a bit ahead of the recommended break in mileage but things must get done.
The L5P in this truck pulls noticeably better than my '18, which I am sure is due to the 10 speed. Really happy with that aspect of it. There is no dead pedal which is extremely irritating.
Pulled 60 miles at that weight my recorded mpg according to the dic was 7.5. Best non pulling was 15.5 so far. Hopefully those numbers increase.
Getting used to the interior, perhaps due to familiarity of the previous gen, but I kinda like some aspects of the old interior better. Sounds like first world problems but I think an LTZ should have a sunglass holder like the previous gen. It is comfortable and solid under load. It will be interesting when we get up around 30-35K and how it handles that weight, I will wait until it is more broke in before going that heavy I was supposed to wait until 500 miles to pull. I got about half that. This truck was a bed delete. So figuring out the camera situation will take some work. I would like a camera at the hitch (flatbed) and a camera for the gooseneck. Seems simple, but this truck doesn't have the multi camera option so, we will see what can be done.
So far, overall I am happy with it. The 10 speed is a seamless as everyone says it is.
