I don't like admitting this, but from a performance standpoint, your right. I don't think Ford has ever done this well on the Ike test. Well how the Ford performed was subjective. Yes if you want to pull 30,000 pounds a minute quicker than yes Ford wins. But it was a lot louder doing so with the fan on most of the ride. I want to see a more realistic 18k pounds or something with a fifth wheel RV. That's the most common purpose for consumers (not businesses). And measure everything including sound level, EGTs, etc.

For the gas engines, Chevy has always been behind in the HD segment. If I wanted a gas engine to do work, Ford would be my choice. I had one 6.0 gas Chevy and was over it pretty quickly.
