Hey folks, my daughter's boyfriend wants to buy a 5th wheel with a pin weight of 2500# dry and pull it with his 2006 3/4 ton GMC D/M.I'm trying to talk him out of it but he says the salesman says that...

Well that is the information we needed, I tow over GVWR, but under Rear axle rating by a decent amount. He stands a very good chance of being over on both. I also do it on stock suspension, guessing that that would require bags to level, then all bets are off.
I also think those that state about 2,800# empty on rear axle are off a bit. I know I can't put 3,000# on my rear axles at a 6,084# rating.
