3 way refrigerator

Question

Hi all, a friend of mine purchased a used pop up. it has a 3 way fridge. I was able to get the pilot light lit and it stays lit for a minute or two then it blows back and starts to flame out of the air access holes. Is this because the orifice is clogged? Also we tried the fridge on standard 110, it didn't feel like it was getting cold, but I told my friend to keep it plugged in and on overnight and check it in the AM, I set it the coldest setting possible.

It will take several hours on gas or electric before the fridge begins to feel colder. Do you have a thermometer or are you just opening the door and feeling?

Blow back......dirty orifice, dirty burner tube, dirty burner chamberAnd yes....whether on gas or electric several hours before you can tell that fridge is cooling down. Freezer section first and then food sectionAnd the 12V DC heating function.......it will not cool down the fridge. It is for use when traveling to maintain a cold fridge.

First off, there is no pilot light, only a flame that gets smaller or larger as needed.

It needs a good cleaning. Use a bottle brush to clean the chimney. Blow everything out with compressed air. Remove the burner assembly and clean. There is a tiny orifice back a little from the burner, soak in alcohol and blow it out, DO NOT poke anything into the tiny hole.
