4x4 hauler that fits under a 7' garage door?.

Hi people..

Iv sold everything..
I sold my 24' toyhauler mainly because it's to big for little ole me, and I need to get far away from the noisy crowded camp grounds next time I go.
I also just sold my cummins 5 speed E350 van, mainly because it didn't fit under my 7x16 garage door. It's also not the 4x4 I should have bought to drive up fire roads in colorado and again, the huge toyhauler is gone and dont need a cummins.

So now I'm sitting here with a pile of cash but not sure on what truck or 4x4 vehicle to look for. I don't buy new and I'm ok to travel for a vehicle I want even though Iv had mixed results..

I need a 4x4 vehicle that's no taller than 6'10"
I need to haul one DR-Z400S enduro.
I need a place to sleep for two but not sold on Roof top tents.
I'd like a few of the amenities my toyhauler provided, but in off road capable size. Thinking oz tent with cots maybe.

Maybe a vortec 5.7, or 6.0 4x4 truck and a bed camper I could remove with Bumper motorcycle carrier?

Or small 10' enclosed trailer for the bike?

Or should I put the motorcycle in the truck bed and tow a small off road camper?

Just thinking out loud here.. Either way, I need a 4x4 capable of the things I mentioned and would be interested in any ideas or experiences from the group.

Thanks

Since you're looking at 15-20 year old trucks if you're thinking Vortec 350s, ALL of them will fit with even more room to spare. The GMT 800 3/4 tons may have been under 6' tall even, or close.

The 5.3, 5.7 and 6.0 gas engines have been recommended.

But I'm also considering a V8 Jeep because of the colorado passes Id like to drive. Previous trips when I was alone I rode the dirt bike everywhere. But I have a guest now and want to show her how beautiful the high country is. She's ok with a Oz-tent and cots so I bet I could get ultimatemxhauler.com on the back of a jeep. And have a second 2" receiver below it to pull a very small off road trailer for the tent and gear.

Most stock 4x4 HD pickups will fit under 7' barely.
All half tons will fit and that sounds like what you're after anyway. Don't need a big truck to haul a small trailer and a dirt bike.

Thanks everyone..

I still have a backyard gravel runway the city made me build to park the toyhauler. I will park the new smaller trailer or camper back there. But I need the truck to fit the garage when I work on it.

This is what I need.

1. My F250 just fit under a 7' garage door opening with 33" tall tires. An F350 would not due to the taller rear block over the axle.

2. Truck campers can be minimal or extravagant but neither will fit in the garage while on the truck. A pop up will fit in the garage if you use a low-boy dolly.

3. You can easily outfit a low height enclosed trailer with spring over axle lift to be your next toy hauler and still fit it in the garage, but you will not be able to stand up inside. How fancy you make the living accommodations is up to you, but anything will be better than a tent.
