Rusting in Qualicum Beach? That surprises me because you really don't have any winter there to speak of. I'm glad to hear you have had good service from your 6.0L; I'm very educated about the engine and maintenance as well and I didn't have as good of luck with mine......
JMHO, but I think if you think you are going to get the fuel mileage that your 6.0L gets you are mistaken. My bet is 13-14 mpg highway and about 9 mpg towing. Certainly not saying that's bad but just looking at reality.
