Fish no one asked about a Hemi or CTD. I enjoy coming here and reading threads and occasionally contributing, but as always you ruin it with your bias. Im not a Ram or Cummins fan boy but do get tired of you hijacking every thread. Your what we call a telephone tough guy, insult everything and everyone you don’t like from behind your computer. Get a life and let the rest of the fine people here enjoy this forum.
Let see... I responded to Troll Again with his useless comment (no one asked about a Power Stroke) and then on topic with the OP.
Again another 3500 mafia just cant' handle a simple fact so no surprise to your comment and gave the Troll a free pass. Yeah... Loud and Clear big boy.
Except MeAgain was right and you - as usual were wrong.
You know, I wonder if we were all out camping and enjoying a brew around the same campfire, if there would be these same comments about how right someone is. I wonder if it'd be worse!
I hope one day to run across Fish out in the wild... Considering our proximity, I'd say it's plausible.
I'd even be willing to buy an ice cold beer outta my fridge for any of the Mafia members, as long as they can stomach the fact my camper got to the site being pulled by a... HAHA (insert evil laugh) FORD.

My 2016 6.2 F250 CCSB 3.73 4x4 does everything I need it to do.
It is also my daily driver. So far, 44k miles. Not a single problem, no warranty work at all, especially since it's out of warranty, heh.
Carries a heavy camper a few times a year. Tows a few times a year. Payload is 3.5k lbs, carrying it comfortably.
I didn't buy it for the gas mileage, but combined gas mileages town and highway is about 11.5-12 mpg. Not complaining about it. It weighs 3.5 tons empty.
You get what you pay for, most of the time. The 6.2 L engine and the Ford chassis are quality stuff.

Since I can't afford 2 trucks, and I can't drive a car for any length of time due to arthritis and back/leg issues, I need a daily driver that can also tow. Right now it has been an F150, which does OK, gets 7-9 with my travel trailer, and 17-18 on the highway. My last one was a 14 RWD and got about the same towing, with 3.15 gears at that, and 20+ during the summer and 18+ during the winter.
I drive 120 miles a day on rural state highways, averaging 51 MPH over the past 140K miles, set the cruise at 63 and sit back and drive.
My current 16 has bee nothing but problems since hour 1. I plan to replace it and would like to go to a Superduty, and because of all the miles I drive was looking at the diesel. I had a 99 Dually with the 7.3 and got a consistent 18+ MPG in it, and have seen that the 6.7 can get that as well, if not better since I stick to 60ish MPH.
Now IF the 6.2 could do 18, I would easily consider it instead, but 15 MPG or less is out of the question. Just in a couple road tests of a 17 6.7 I was seeing over 20 MPG on the lie-o-meter, ut haven't even seen a gasser around to compare.
Anyone driving daily on 55 MPH highways for 60 miles one way? What are you seeing?
Also what is the average payload in the F250 with gas? The 6.7 leaves very little payload, so an F350 is a must for Diesel when towing anything over 8K pounds.

Thanks for the input on fuel mileage and all the reviews here. I am pretty much sold on the 6.2 with 3.73 gears. My 05 6.0 diesel has been an excellent truck and I guess I either got lucky or I am educated enough about the engine and maintenance that it's been solid. Problem is in my climate these vehicles rust bad after 13-15yrs and I am thinking of getting rid of it before it's too late. Mileage on my 6.0 is 16mpg with my 80% highway daily usage and 11mpg towing my 8000lb trailer. Seems the 6.2 is around the same or slightly worse.
