From my side its reviews from owners that are towing at altitude and poor gear spacing. Possibly your 4.10 is the solution. Google ike gauntlet and the ram 6.4l vs the ancient 6.0 Chevy. It did poorly.
I always get a kick out of the amount of reviews that say to buy or not buy something based on how it performed in the “Ike Gauntlet “. Because really who cares how it does there? That is a pass very few people on this forum ever drive. And even if you do, it’s a 10 minute segment in your journey. As long as the vehicle gets up the pass, who cares how fast it makes it? I pull over that section maybe a dozen times per year, and as long as the vehicle can make it over the hill, it doesn’t matter to me if it does it in 8 minutes or 18. It is insignificant in the whole journey, and especially true for 99% of the population who will never drive it.
