915 on RAM 2500

Good Morning!

Anybody running a Lance 915 on a 2001 (or similar year/model) RAM 2500 4X4 with a cummins? Everything is stock. It has TOYO M55's on it. I could do all the numbers and math and read the ratings but my experience is actually driving the truck is a lot different than driving a pencil on paper.
I haul it on an 06 dually with a cummins now but I'm finding that some forest roads are a bit of a PITA with the dually. And when the ground gets soft it's a little iffy.

Thanks!

I ran a 2000 F250 and 1996 lance 915 with no issues. I did add air bags.

was a great set up.

Since you've already been pushed back to page 2 with no responses, we can safely conclude that nobody is running your exact setup, and the "pencil pushers" can chime in.

The Lance 915 is rated 2305lbs for a dry base model. It will be pushing 3000lbs wet with options.

You will be over the GVWR of the truck, the truck will be squatting, and you will feel significant mushiness and sway in the handling on the stock truck.

Typical 3/4 ton 25-series trucks have a 6084lb rear axle rating and weigh 2800-2900lbs on the rear axle empty.

You will be right at the limit for stock tires and wheels.

To mitigate: Upgrade the tires to 265 or 285 width for the additional load capacity. Add helper springs (IIRC airbags don't work well on Dodges), and a big ol' sway bar.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.
