Tequila, it is not likely your truck needs a WDH. However, check the receiver ratings as there should be a sticker with weight carrying and weigh distributing ratings. Older trucks OEM receivers needed a WDH over 500-600 pounds. You'll be closer to 7000 pounds with 900 pounds of TW too. Some aftermarket and newer OEM receivers on HD trucks are higher for weight carrying that you need,
