add an outlet to the outside kitchen

I'd like to add an outlet to the main area of the outside kitchen. I plan to tap off of the mini fridge outlet. That outlet has two separate romex cables going into it and it only has one outlet for the fridge. I haven't taken it apart yet to see how it's wired, but can someone comment on how I'd wire an additional outlet to the cooking area from that outlet? I assume the existing outlet has a feed going to one side of the outlet, and the "out" on the other side of the outlet. Can I just tap off of the right side of the outlet and feed that to the new one? Technically I could tap off of either side, right?

One side of the outlet should be black wires and the other side white. You come off with black on black and white on white. The new outlet is wired the same way

jlatenight,

Unplug the fridge.
add a multiple outlet (3 outlets)
plug in fridge
add an extension cord that is wired to the outlet you want for the outdoor kitchen.

Derate the load by 325 watts (that's what my fridge uses).

While an extra installed AC outlet is nice, did you consider just tossing an extra cable under the RV from the power pedestal 15-20 amp outlet? I do that for my outdoor cooking table, so no power draw on my 30 amp trailer system for heavy heat cooking requirements. 12AWG cable to a power strip.

You could have a GFCI and/or a inverter outlet. You could use either one but the new outlet should be a GFCI.

If it's got 2 sets of wires going into the box, there's another outlet daisy chained to it (assuming both romexs are connected to the outlet).
May not be room to daisy chain another outlet off of it (but an outlet with push connectors and set screw connectors might work? or) or you have to splice a new lead into the source, in that box.
But do you understand how much you can pull off that one circuit and what the loads are currently on it?
