I have seen those sites of complete repacement for the rear...expensive! But as you have pointed out the travel distance is probably the issue. So with my continued research I am beginning to think that a system installed on the frame would be the best way to go and the cost would still not be cheap.

I see the gentleman from AZ has reconsidered his statement. I am with you about PT. I just finished a 8 week stint for my rotator and I have improvement, it still hurts like a(blank), but I push thru and do the movement improvement excercises, it surely helps. The shame is I cannot throw steeltip darts any longer due to an issue in my wrist, but the end of the first game I just cannot continue..but that has not stopped me from playing drums. Differnt movement. No I will not lay down, I plan on going on as striong as I can for as long as I can.
Just last week I did a day long annual training on oil spill recovery...I am still on the list as an ON CALL Captain for Global Dive and Salvage who contrats with MSRC, could be sent anywhere they need Captains. I slept well that night. Additionally, my MMC has been renewed by the USCG after extensive physical, and ability testing..plus the new rules we mariners need to take physicals every two years regardless of position, used to be 5 years at renewal time. Now let's get back on to the subject of leveling.

Sleepy, No need to repost your poignant statement...yes there is a final solution, I as you want to enjoy a bit more before that arrives.

Ths solution as pointed out above is the matter of travel for this type of solution. But it is a fun issue to tackle and the comments so far are helpful and interesting. Hopefully the TC goes in next week for the rebuild process, the delay has been a fire at the facility. Rest easy my friend.

This is exactly the point! Some rest areas have a slope for drainage, many times I have run one front up on curb to get closer, hey for a nights sleep and some dinner, makes it so much simpler.

I actually bought the ones for changing a tire, they give a bit more height and have a higher weight rating. They also have a pattern on the bottom for traction and come with a rubber pad for concrete/asphalt or other hard surfaces.

I can see how changing a tire would work with for the outside dually and maybe a tandum axel trailer, but how else...just can't picture it. I think the putting chains on a dually would be made simple, too.

WOW! Where did this come from! You have no idea how to address a question. Sorry if I offended your sensativity about human capability, think of it this way maybe some of our memebers here are starting to have issues and are thinking of giving in to the human frailty and this gave them an opening to continue. Okay Okay, I stand corrected, a solution for easy leveling would be a nice option for those who need it. Just think sometimes we hurry the aging process along by not doing what we can, then pretty soon we can't do what we should be able to. I had a Orthopedic Surgeon tell me that many folks balk at physical therapy because it's difficult and often uncomfortable, the more they don't move the more they can't, he said. He went on to say that many end up in a wheel chair when they didn't have to.

Funny I thought as we grew older our skin would get thicker and we'd not be bothered by those with opinions that differ from ours. Dang, wrong again.

If you have a level in you iPhone use it... I do, works great. The level is on the same app as your compuss. It is accurate within one degree.

... as for blocks... I'm still using wooden blocks... they are fairly light weight, and expendable.... inexpensive to replace.

Down side... getting down to fool with them is a real chore. My every joint has been adjusted, had steorid shots, PT, or surgery... just getting in and out of the trucks cab is an effort... the cabover bed is highter than it used to be.

A message to the smarty pants comment about tents.... I was doing that more than 70 years ago and quit in the 1960's... It won't be nearly as long before you won't be able to crawl in and out of a tent as you think it will... setting up a large A wall tent is a lot of work... and confines you to one place. I like to move on a moments notice.

Capt PJ.... Alaskin Cruise line ship captain, ferry captain, work boat captain has had his share of very hard work, harsh weather, and also cross country adventures in his TC(s)... he is intellegent enough to find solutions to problems... not bully someone for working on solutions.

Go for your solution PJ... and post the results... we'll all need the solutons eventually (until we have the final solution anyway)
