I have a 2012 of that truck in my driveway. It shows a payload of 2176. There were none to be found on any dealer lots so I ordered this one. Fortunately X-Plan pricing was available through work which helped out.
Currently I am towing 8k and it has done well, however I need to run it through some mountains to get a better feel for how it compares to my last rig which was a 3/4 ton Suburban.
Per the OPs question I would not tow a travel trailer of 9.5k.
