An old newbie.

I'm back after a few years of being gone. I originally had a 21 ft. Nomad/Skyline Trailrider toyhauler. Interests changed and life got busy and it sat in storage for a few years and eventually sold it(gave it away 😉 ).

Now I'm back. In a 12' Livin' Lite Camplite 13QBB and loving it.

So...

1. Hi everybody. Nice to be back.

2. This used TT is in great shape and everything works as it should, except... The blade for the toilet won't completely close. It's a porcelain style with a foot lever. The blade goes back but will not completely insert back into it's slot. I've tried releasing it from it's full open position in hopes that speed and momentum would allow it to seat but it usually won't go fully back in. It will hold water when I do this but I inevitably put a finger on it and push it into place. I've tried some silicon spray lubricant that sort of helped for a little while.

Any suggestions to fix this annoying issue?

3. Tows great w/o WD or sway control but a bit bouncy at times. No need to address it but wouldn't mind hearing any suggestions to rectify it. I'm currently running Firestone airbags w/ about 65psi when towing. Not sure of tongue weight but It's a super light trailer to begin with, so not too much.

Congrats on your new rig, Very cool.

I bet a good WDH with built in sway control like an equalizer would help a lot with the bounce on such a light truck/TT.

take an "OLD" tooth brush.. open valve and clean around disk and seal/seat area... paper or "OTHER" stuff could be preventing it from closing completely ...

Nice Trailer.. Have Fun. I take my street motorcycle with me the same way you take your bike.

as for bounce .. I think Monroe Shocks makes several kits to fit trailers.

Congrats. I just toured a Livin' Lite Camplite 13QBB on YouTube.

It's a neat little rig.

Enjoy your travels.

WD-40 is not the thing to use on rubber and plastics. It will dissolve certain materials. I only use WD-40 on wet spark plugs in outdoor power equipment.

X2 on the WD-foty. Nice rig! We are looking for something similar (single axle) because our Jayco was just totaled out by a recent hail storm. Have fun!

First try a light weight lubricant. As stated above olive oil may do it. I would not ever hesitate using WD 40, would flush well after using it.

Cute rig, looks like a lot of fun!

I've heard folks use olive oil on the toilet seals. Maybe that has some beneficial sliding effect. FWIW, when I was messing with my old Aquamagic, the return spring broke. That spring was way too much for just returning the flapper. I replaced it with a lighter spring and all is now good. Maybe you need to go the opposite direction.

I have torsion axles and shock absorbers, my trailer is like a rail car behind me.
