And into the forest I go to lose my mind and to find my soul

We were able to get away for a few days. Left on Monday instead of Sunday, because of the nasty weather here in the mid west.
Two nights at St. Joe State Park, Park Hills, MO. The weather has been perfect, cool breeze temps in the low 60's during the days and low 40's at night. Once I figure out how to post photos I will included photos. Be working on that quickly. We love our our Lance 1172. No other campers in this part of the park, NICE. Heading home today, a day early, because of all the rain headed this way tomorrow. Might as well break camp in the dry. I have done the set up and break down in the rain, I prefer the dry Have a Pleasant day.
The subject title is a quote by John Muir. And that is how we feel.

  • I have stayed in the motorized off-road section a few times. Did you bring a toy or were you elsewhere in the park?
  • Bedlam,
Good morning. We were over in the equestrian part of the park, no off road vechiles allowed over here. Our toy is a tandem bicycle that a friend put a electric motor on it for us. I can not do this type of project any more because I am nearly blind. We use the motor only for assists. We still pedal. Very nice park. Over 8000 acres.

I felt the same way with four days in Yosemite last week.
Very few people and even fewer tourists.
