Do you leave the anti-freeze in all winter, or drain it after you flush the lines?I have watched several tutorials, and none mention draining the lines after flushing with pink until it comes out the taps.I have also read several posts that say do not leave the AF in.So which one is it? I was pretty laissez faire with my old 1990 fifth, but now that this is the first winter for my new Denali, I want to be overly paranoidly careful.

I leave it in until I flush the lines and get ready for spring.

I drain mine just so it doesn't leave any "aftertaste" in the spring. I don't see any reason to leave it in there. I collect it and use it in the drains and for flushing the toilet when/if we are traveling in the winter. Barney

Some people just blow out lines with air, some use anti freeze, and some, being really over concerned, do it both ways. I think the confusion begins when you read about the the RVers that have their own method of doing both methods.

Well actually I do both. After I winterize I go back and open the low point drains and let it dump the antifreeze & re-close the drains. What ever is left in the lines stays in the lines until I sanitize in the spring. My theory is that the RV antifreeze in my area will not freeze but it does get slushy So why not let it force out any remaining water, drain it, then there is plenty of space if it does get slushy.

I always leave it but if you pump it through and the water is out then why not drain it. It is not like water will get in there. Might have to give it some thought over the next couple of weeks.

Climate here is also many days of -30C in the 26 months of winter we experience annually.

Doesn't matter. If the temps are mild and I have time, I might actually blow the antifreeze out. Usually though it is cold and I have lots of toys to put away for the winter so I leave it.

I have never gone to the trouble of blowing out the antifreeze but I think that opening the low point drains, collecting it for traps, etc. is a good idea.
