Well, my BIL graciously has let us borrow his trailer if we store it for him (he was paying for it where he lives)We met half way today and I brought it home.All was well until I backed it in.Ended up catching the un-used basketball hoop which bent the ladder and pushed it into the back wall......I couldn't believe it....just about broke down.Have an inquiry into the a branch of the dealership he bought it from, but wondering if there are any other options?Not sure if it'd be a complete rear wall replacement, or???Any advice is greatly appreciated.Mike....still in shock

Sorry to hear about that. It happens to the best of us. I'm sure you already know this, but it will take the complete rear panel to make a proper repair. If that was my trailer, that's the only repair I'd accept, and it won't be cheap. I'm assuming no one got hurt, which is the most important thing

Insurance? Hope everything turns out okay....I know you are still wondering why?

Exactly why I never let anyone use my motorhome. If I mess up I hate myself but if anyone else even scratched it I would probably go bananas. Hopefully your BIL is more understanding.

If it aint one thing it's another.

A good fiberglass man can make this like new...I have a friend that has crashed his rear panel on his motorhome twice (separate occasions)and both time it was repaired and looked like new..

Nope! Haven't done it Yet. Lost a wheel in NY and tore up slider lower edge. Hard to fix it too.

Years ago, first trip with a brand new trailer, I cut it too close in a tight spot on the campground road, and "brushed" a big tree. Bent the rain gutter, dented the siding, and ripped a foot long gash in the rubber roof.

Boy was I pissed...

I did a similar thing after someone moved my house a foot closer to the street! I'm still trying to figure out who moved it.

Seriously, seal it up with some duct tape and find a good fiberglass shop!

Oh, man, I am SO sorry to hear that this happened. Try to look at it as an education, and remember that education is always expensive.

very first day I brought brand our new TT home, its a tricky/tight parking spot at my house, next to garage. Well, I was being super careful about the corner backing in, had the garage easily in my mirror, no problem. DW watching the rear so I didn't go through the fence. Well, being totally new to towing, didn't account for the height of the trailer, and forgot about the overhanging eaves on the garage. Clipped the Clipper pretty good on the corner of the gutter, nice little hole in the aluminum! wasn't happy, but it happens.

i backed over a no parking sign with my truck camper a couple weeks ago.bent the thing in half.when i got out to cry over the damage to the camper there wasn't even a dent,thank god.sorry you weren't so lucky.
