Anyone order a new Ford 7.3 gas?

You can take the bolts out of the bed and lift the bed for complete access to the fuel pump without dropping the tank. My old 2000 V-10 still runs good at 206,000 miles but thinking about a new 7.3 gas truck. The 6.2 is actually a more advanced engine then the 7.3

The 6.2 is more advanced in that it is an overhead cam. However, the 7.3 has some improvements in the combustion chamber for more efficient swirling leading to better fuel mixing and improved efficiency. It is also designed for use in medium duty trucks as a diesel alternative and is extremely robust. It was also designed to fit into the E450 leading to getting away from the overhead cam. At the rpms expected in these applications there is little benefit from an overhead cam anyway, just extra expense and bulk.
