Anyone use this online tire distributor?

I have Titan radial 205/75R15 LRD tires on my Rockwood 8318ss (which I upgraded from the factory LRC). Last year one of them developed a bulge in the center of the tread. I needed a replacement quick, so I bought a Carlisle RH Trail in the same size. This tire seems to be a "good" Carlisle tire.

Since the Titans are probably about 6 or 7 years old, I want to replace the other three before the camping season this year.

Discount Tire Direct has them for $78 each.

OneClickTires.com has them for $53 on their web site.

Aside from making sure the date code on the tires is reasonably recent, this is a big savings.

Anyone order from this place?

I am generally suspicious if someone is selling a product much cheaper than others, unless it is a known place (like rock auto).

I have not gone through the shopping process on their site, so maybe they make it up in ridiculous shipping/handling charges?

Thanks
Steve

I have my own tire machine I bought 20 years ago . Havent paid to have a tire mounted in that time .

Buy tires online and then you have to pay for mounting. And then what do you do with the trailer - take the wheels off one at a time and make 4 trips to the service station, or block up the trailer and take all 4 off at once?

Buy tires AND WHEELS online and they mount them for free and throw in a free valve stem. My last 2 sets came out cheaper if I bought new wheels.

Then sell the old tires and wheels on Craigslist and now you're even further ahead.

I have also had good luck with Tire Rack online. They certainly lean towards performance tires, but if you search their site a bit sometimes they have very good LT and trailer tire prices.

Thanks for the replies.

I will check the local tire guys first, but I haven't had much luck in the past with them (price-wise).

When I bought the Titan tires, I swapped them myself (using a HF manual tire changer which works remarkably well). However, I wouldn't mind having it done.

It has been a couple of years, but I have bought car tires from them in the past. Free shipping and I had them drop shipped directly to my local service shop who did the mounting.
35 miles from Normal, IL. As close to normal as I'll ever be.

Where are you getting them mounted? I was all set to order a set of tires online for my TT when I thought I'd just check the cost of getting them from my local repair garage (they do all the mechanical work I don't want to do). Turns out, they were LESS! After adding in shipping, then mounting, the online tires were more expensive. Check with your local place before making the order.

I always buy my tires from Les Schwab, a NW chain store. They do free rotations and flat repair, and will replace if it's not fixable. There is also a mileage warranty.

If I don't feel like airing up before towing, I just roll in and they do it for me. All worth it to me vs saving a few bucks from an online seller.

Discount Tire has always matched online prices for us. Might want to ask them.

Good post. Being an auto tech I mount and balance my own tires, so that fee always escapes my posts.

Yes, I`ll bet the shipping charges are high. I have used Carlisle the last 2 times and they have been great.

I just checked and their shipping looks to be about $17ea. that would be $51 for 3.
