Has anyone adapted the Fox Landing to an older TC that did not have it as an option? I would like to know how difficult/expensive it would be to add that folding step platform to an Arctic Fox TC.

I checked into it on my 2011 AF 1150 and was told I needed a new bumper plus the steps, was told by the Portland AF dealer about $2k was the final quote with some labor....decided to just add it to the list of items for the NEXT camper......

If the poster above added it to a Northern Lite, can't see why it could not be adapted to an older AF.

If I remember correcting, just the Fox Landing option is like 600-900 so is pretty spendy to add to an older unit. I am betting they have some extra bracing on the bumper along with the holes to make it sturdier for the extra levarage the system would be adding when a 240# pound guy and 85# pound dog is standing on it....

If had been around $500 we'd likely have done it. I'm sure we will get a new camper in a couple of year anyways. (Likely side entry as we tow alot)

Best thing to do would be to give Northwood MFG in LaGrand a call and ask them. Be sure to have your TC's serial number handy.

Did that and was told I had to buy a new bumper too. I'm guessing there are some smart people who could make it work without the added cost of a new bumper.

Butch50, That's funny. Those stairs look great though! I hate the price of the Fox Landing steps but they are a tremendous improvement in utility and functionality - not to mention safety!

I was just about ready to post when I saw your post, that just happens to be my camper that I installed the AF Fox Landing on. It folds up and has been a great step and I'm glad I did it. We used it for over 2 months this year in Alaska and worked great.
