flip, if you buy the Yakima tracks, they should come with stainless steel screws for mounting. (just make sure they're not too long )As far as I know,there is a thin sheet of plywood or fiberboard under your aluminum skin which you should be able to mount to but I would get that confirmed by Lance before you start drilling. Use stainless screws and Dicor "self leveling" sealant to seat and seal the tracks. The basket is strong but I think you will still need a forward tie-down/mounting point to attach to. I mounted a stainless tie-down on the roof as far forward as I could. This is where your strength will come from. Even with the basket, I don't think you'll get the boats above the AC though. You might have to load one on each side of the AC unless your kayaks are stackable. Good luck, Brad
