I am getting to much flame around the adjustable gas tube and is melting the wires. I have adjusted both ways and it still occurs. Can someone give me an idea of whats going on. I am worried something...

AND run a wire thru combustion chamber out thru exhaust then tie rag to wire and pull it back thru to clean the 'U' tube out
AND with burner tube off.unscrew the main gas orifice (brass insert where burner tube attaches to gas valve)
Soak it in alcohol and then blow it out....NO poking things thru the orifice No/No
