Just built one! I used a hitch cargo carrier for the base. 4 feet wide, 2 deep and 18 inches high. All wood, not expensive and it holds my generator, cooking box, the screen tent, shower kit for the outside shower, gas for the genset, and other odds and ends that I don't want in the camper for whatever reason. The top is rubber mat. A couple of chains on the ends makes it very stable. Sorry don't have a pic, but I based it on one in the mod section. not too heavy for me to move myself when empty as it comes apart into 3 pieces. When I tow it comes out of the hitch and goes on the trailer. I have an 8'camper so the hitch is not obstructed.
