backup cameras
trying to get a good backup camera for my lance. anybody have a veise camera wireless? also looked at tadibrothers cameras, cant mke up my mind, Help pse

- Search Taxi on here. Someone posted a short time ago about one of their cameras and his results weren't good. I am pleased with my Peak camera.
- I use Veise wireless cameras and monitor and they work very well. Ive been using them for over 3 years with no problems. The picture quality overall is very good, with just occasional interference while on the road. Nothing that I can't live with. I use two cameras that run on one monitor, one at the rear for backing up and one on the rooftop to check height clearance when I have a low tree branch or whatever to contend with. The monitor allows you to run up to 4 separate cameras, one off of each channel. Bought mine from a vendor off Ebay. Before that I briefly used a wireless system from a vendor out west (videosystemsbyjim.com) who sold ag camera systems. The monitor went out after about a year and he did nothing to help me out. I was hoping for maybe a little discount on a new monitor since it had just passed the one year warranty mark.No such luck so rather than give him anymore of my money I bought the Veise system and like it much better.

wireless backup camara - Does anyone know a way to hook up my existing back up camera system (factory installed on my Silverado) to a camera on my TC? The lens for the factory camera is in the tailgate, which I remove prior to mounting the TC.

The system I put on my truck is wired , my camper is alum sided.
It uses rca jacks , I used rca to f connector adapters and ran rg6 coax for the camper , put a disconect in the bed of the truck by the camper plug, and an a/b switch under the steering console , a= truck without camper , b= camera on camper, both work in reverce or manualy on
While I was wiring the camper I put a splitter in and ran a coax to the flat sceen tv , I can switch to that imput on the tv and see who is out side the camper door , camper on truck or offokan-star wrote:

I also have the GMC camera system with the display in the rearview mirror. The plug in is approx. 8 flat pin connector.
It would be nice to locate an extra camera with a 3' pigtail.

Here ya go! This is what I'm using that utilizes the existing wiring for the GM tailgate camera and displays on the rear view mirror screen with awesome clarity and night vision. Not cheap, but I mounted mine under the bumper on my Arctic Fox and it works great!

Paul- My Lance 981 max was prewired for a voyager camera system... decided on a hard wire system because there was a lot of discuss on this forum about interference with the wireless camera... I am guessing that is no longer the problem. Having good service from my installation with a little help from the Voyager Tech Rep... Regardless the camera is a great safety device.. I use mine as a rearview camera and it stays on when the wheels are turning.. Saved me from blind spot accidents numerous time...
