Bargman light leaks

My new BF came with Bargman series 84 lights on the back. Each fixture has two sections, a red LED stop/turn/tail, and an incandescent backup surrounded with a red reflector. When hosing the camper off prior to storage recently, I noticed both backup light sections were leaking. Upon removing the lens, I could see the lens was made of two pieces, the inner had the red reflective part, the outer was a clear cover. Water had wicked up between the two parts. I could separate the two pieces to dry them. I contacted Bargman to see if BF had left off some gaskets during assembly, but no gaskets are included. Anyone have any luck trying to seal these things? Thanks.

    I did the same.
  • Yes, there's nothing to keep water and dirt from getting in there - especially the backup light. I took mine apart and carefully applied a very small bead of silicone around the edge to seal them. It's so small you cant see it.
