Thanks for all the replies.
To answer a few questions, I don't know what converter I have at the moment - will have to check next weekend.
I stay in my trailer most weekends as I'm getting ready to build a home and I should be getting power in 6 months, so i just need something to hold me over.
Someone mentioned charging just up to 90% on a genny - isn't that not optimal for the batteries? Thought you want to charge to 100%.
I spoke to my mechanic who installed the newer converter and he thinks it's at least a 40 amp converter, so maybe the batteries aren't getting enough volts? Doesn't seem clear to me that buying a 40 amp charger will solve my problem if my converter is a 40amp.
I know the best solution is to just buy a nicer covnerter, but those seem to be several hundred dollars and i can't afford to put that into my TT, so that's why i was thinking about a $70 charger.
