Battery connection?

I'm getting ready to test my 12 volt system but I'm not sure which wire goes to the positive side of the battery.
One wire has an inline fuse and is smaller in diameter than the other, it also has a yellow eye connector on it. The other wire is much larger with a red eye connector.
Which is the positive?

Yes leave it connected when plugged in. If you are going to leave it plugged in permanently (months at a time) make sure you check the water level in the battery at least once a month.

Yes, the battery should be left connected so it can be charged from the converter while connected to shore power.

Also can I leave the battery hooked up while running on shoreline power?

Coachman Clipper,
I'm sure both go to the battery, no other wire is there.

What kind of rig?
Trailer small wire could be positive lead to break away brake switch. Larger wire could go to converter.

Yes, we can guess, but a sure-fire solution is to:

a) turn everything off
b) hook up cables
c) turn on a 12v fan
d) does it run correctly?
--- yes. You are done.
---no. Reverse wiring.

We can guess but that's not really a good idea. I would follow the wires and see if you can tell which one is connected to ground (neg).
