battery suggestions?

I actually forgot I have a deka group 49 battery sitting around. It's still in great shape and has 180 rc. I bought a big battery box so I'll give it a shot.

I've had good luck with the Walmart 27DC for $80. We can overnight with it if needed.

Sometimes when replying to a post, the reply can come across as duh!
It’s not always meant like that. Some have no clue when they reply and try to help, some others are very smart and experienced, and the rest in between.

It is difficult for a first poster to know how much info to give up front.

We cannot read your mind and know everything you meant to say. So often, we read wrongly and offense is taken.

Did you look at the DC fuse panel?

You indicate you don’t know it takes 12 volts to move the slide.
You don’t really know what else runs off 12 volts on a travel trailer.
Therefore I assumed you don’t know much about the TT systems power requirements or battery maintenance. Therefore I was trying to give you the easy button on battery selection for the beginner.
I was just st trying to help, but everyone these days takes everything so personal.

Huh? Never did I say anything about what you do not do I care. You made a false accusation that I don't care about maintenance when all I did is ask a simple question to educate myself on the subject. I am a mechanic btw just never has a trailer with a electric slide.

I dont know maintenance? I own 6 vehicles and 5 off road vehicles all I do is maintenance! This is the first camper Ive ever had with an electric slideout so I needed to learn a little more about the campers in general. My hybrids battery is fine and the slide is manual so I never worried about its battery.

Yeah sorry for that..... I don’t have 25 years experience in semiconductors and being an ASE master auto tech...... I just roast peanuts for a living. Just trying to help.

I have tried lost of different batteries in my RV, boat and diesel truck. It takes 6 of them to keep them running. Mostly I buy batteries from Costco keeping an eye on the cold cranking amp rating.

I have tried the 6 volt golf cart batteries and several others that cost more. They really don't perform much better than the basic ones from Costco.

Look at your DC distribution panel where the 12V fuses are located. Hopefully the circuits will be labeled.
