looking for a good route to Springfield Missouri. Have driven through the BR mountains but never pulling a travel trailer. Don't relish the thought but don't see another way. It will be our first long adventure trip no planned stops beforehand. Drive from 7a to about 3p then look for overnight spot. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all, guess I'm gonna have to tuff if out and cross the Blue Ridge. I64 is way to far north and I44 south out of St Louis is a lousy road.

We live about 10 miles south of Springfield and we went to Greensboro a few years ago and our route was (from Greensoro) West on I-40 to I-24 at Nashville then West on US 60 at Paducah KY. US 60 goes all the way to Springfield.

I don't know where Springfield is, but my sister drives from the St. Louis Area to SE VA/ NE NC twice a year. She always takes I-64. Runs right through Hampton Roads, turn on 168 to get to OBX!

Our RV GPS suggests US 264 to US 64 to I540 around Raleigh. Then i40 to Nashville, where you would take I24 to I57 S . Then US 60.
