OK.....If you think so! :R the single best motor ever made by any car manuf..... ask anyone that knows anything about cars!:S - I had a friend in high school that had an old dart with the slant 6. He beat the******of the the car and it had over 200,000 miles on it. Finally one day he threw a rode and the car would still run! He was able to limp home. The motor didn't have a lot of power but you had to shoot them to kill them. They would run forever.

I agree about the Ford 300 I 6, Chevy small block V8....I would also add the Chevy 4.3 V6 (part of the Chevy small block V8 family) and the VW air cooled, boxer four cylinder.
The 318 Mopar V8 was also pretty durable. The list goes on. ;) - dodge_guyExplorer III thought we were talking about the best motor ever made. The slant six was the single best motor ever designed! Sure the SBC was a great motor, but the leaning tower of power was indestructible! You could overheat it, run out of oil and lock it up. Let it cool down throw some oil and coolant in it and start it right back up! And continue to drive it!
No other motor that i know of can do that!
