Still gotta wonder why Ram felt the 6.4 should have the extra 900++ lbs. of payload vs. the 5.7 gasser and 6.7 diesel.
The 2500 5.7 Hemi has a 9000 GVWR.
The 2500 6.4 Hemi has a 10000 GVWR.
The truck mfg figure payloads by using the trucks GVWR which makes this one easy to see.
The 2500 5.7 or 6.4 or 6.7 rear axles are all still rated at 6000 RAWR regardless of suspension type or engine type so they have nothing to do with the difference in the the mfg payload numbers mentioned.
