Brighter LED replacements.

Our trailer has the classic 12 volt dual lights and slide switch with incandesce bulbs. I would like to replace them with 12 volt LED lights but I want a brighter bulb with more lumens.

Does anyone know if they make a direct replacement that is brighter?

Likewise my porch lamp seems like an airport approach beacon and I am looking for a dimmer LED version for it.

How do the led panels mount inside the light fixture. Do you plug the wire into where the bulb goes and the led panel just lay loose inside the fixture?

Without knowing what light bulbs you are looking to replace, it's kind of hard to suggest a replacement.

I would look on eBay. I bought many of my LEDs from 2011_led.

There is a Chinese web site called dx.com that also sells led bulbs. I bought 1156/BA15S 27led 6watt bulbs for $2.16 each. Fixing to buy another dozen. So far I have been pleased with them. Both warm white and bright white are available as well as a variety of base applications. Their shipping is slow, but, I have never had a problem after several orders.

I would start by buying the 36 LED panel in warm white and see how you like it. You can also buy a 48 led 5050 panel if the 36 is not bright enough.
I would just buy 10 of them for $2 each as with both on they will be plenty bright enough.

I had NO IDEA that LED's had gotten so cheap- and the ones you posted come with whatever adapter is need to make the retrofit. Thanks a million for the links!
