So my 6 year old ran into the armrest of the couch, and the armrest has separated from the body of the couch.

Has anyone else had this happen or know how it's supposed to attach to the rest of the couch?

I've taken a preliminary look at it, but haven't figured out what Jayco had in there to hold it together.

Update: I pulled the front panel off the couch and realized that one of the three screws they used to attach the armrest had pulled free. Looking closer at it, the original screws were 2 1/2 inches to connect two 2X2's. Once I replaced those with 3 1/2 inch screws, it's all back together again.

The bonus is that I now have another storage area to use.

Keep looking. If the wood is split there are some really good wood glues out there. Being from Canada you probably make your own!

If your 6 yr. old dislodged it try Gorilla Glue to fix it. Most RV furniture isn't top of the line. We got rid of ours in the last two rigs we had and bought 2 recliners. Still using them today.
