I installed a ctek dual DC to DC charger with the smart pass. It acts as an isolator and can charge at up to 80A with the voltage output being adjusted based on charging rate. I installed #2 cable from the truck batteries to the charger located near the camper batteries. The charger also has an 20A input for solar panels.

I don't want to lug a generator for long weekends boondocking. So far I am very happy.
