Like I said, talk to your insurance company and let them know that you think the hitch was installed wrong and you want to take it to the dealer to get it checked out. Insurance companies are scared to death of the liability of hitches and will get someone who knows what they're doing take a look at it. Stress that you feel it's "unsafe". Make sure you use the "unsafe" buzzword. Trust me, I've dealt with these matters before.
