Bunkhouses - TT vs 5th Wheel - help tell us what to buy!

The wife and I may be looking for a newer used camper.

We are looking at the bunkhouses with a larger 2 person bed and a smaller 1 person or two 2 person beds for the bunks. We also need a bunk area that more of a room, w plenty of clothing storage. Larger refrigerator a plus.

Basically, I've not looked for a new rv in a long time and am looking for pointers. I have the capability to pull a 5th wheel, but in a small amount of research I've found that they're just priced much higher than a comperable travel trailer. But I'm definitely open to suggestions either way. Looking to spend $20000 max , preferably less, including our current trailer as trade.

Let me know your opinions on TT vs 5er as well as any suggestions on make/model.

Thanks in advance!
Jerry

Suggest you spend some online time on RVWholesalers and RVDirect. Both are huge dealers and carry a wide variety of manufacturers and models. You can see a lot of models without much effort and that may help you get started. Floorplans and pictures are included on most. FWIW, both are reputable dealers, excellent pricing - usually more than 30% off MSRP. That should give you more to go on and an idea of what kind of money you're looking at. If you want something just a few years old, you can still get started on those 2 websites since many popular models are built for several years. Happy shopping!

If you can afford and pull a 5th wheel, they are much larger and more convenient to live/stay in.

Other than that, you need to provide a LOT more details. Even with a ton of details, we can't tell you what you want... you need to go look at RV's and decide what YOU want and what is important to YOU based upon how YOU expect to travel.

I would encourage you to find a couple models that YOU like and then ask opinions specifically about those RV's.

We have a bunk room with four bunks, two closets and a cupboard that holds lots of stuff. We put clothes on one side and etc. on the other. One bed also has storage under one bunk.
But our gueen bed does not come in a seperate bedroom so my guess is that you do want a bedroom. It does have curtains to shut it off from the rest of the trailer.
I would guess they make trailers with the full bunkroom and the seperate bedroom but it is not one like ours.

From what I read I think the OP is wanting a separate bunk house with a double bed with either a single or double over top and a single on the other side. Also bunk house needs lots of storage.

We have seen a lot of TT with what you are looking for. Some had a small wardrobe and dresser with beds. We have not seen many fifth wheels that will accommodate your wants.

My head is spinning from reading your question. One person, two person, rooms, bunks, clothes storage, bunks as rooms, refrigerators????.... I'm not sure what you're asking. Maybe narrow it down a bit and you'll get some input.
